Strokes, shadows, light… Vision is a power that shapes the meaning we attribute to the world and to life itself, creating a reality guided by our illusions.
Part of my photographic essays is built on the sense of absence: spaces that I read as a projection of my memories and feelings. At times I see reflected in them the desire to fix the past, an idealization of what was.
It is true that space is experienced as a place of passage, but I seek to understand it as a meeting point: a crossroads of times, imaginings and sensations.
It is there that my gaze interprets what it cannot see but feels, what it sometimes does not know but understands, almost like a déjà vu.
Settings that are not my own, memories and reflections of the unconscious are the emulsion in which my photographs are fixed.
