The Camino
In 2022, I set out to walk the Camino, a route traveled for centuries across Spain, toward Santiago de Compostela. My journey began in Irún, on the northern border with France, where the Camino del Norte starts.
The journey is a test of faith, though not necessarily a religious one. It is the faith of trusting that the route will be guided by the signs found along the way. These signs have marked the land and the landscape, guiding those who choose to test themselves on a journey of hundreds of kilometers that begins within.
The path is full of allegory and metaphor, unfolding across a landscape and within a person.
Each walker's motivation is as unique as the footprints they leave behind, ranging from spiritual reasons to a search for personal transformation.

A Journey with Those Who Walk to Santiago
Along the Camino I met people willing to give me something special — an hour, a story, a piece of themselves — for nothing more than a portrait. Strangers, mostly, though by the time the picture was taken, that word no longer felt right. What stays with me isn't the distance walked, but the quiet trust of those who let themselves be seen.
